At AZUB, we’ve always believed that bikes and trikes are more than just a way to get from point A to point B. They’re about freedom, discovery, and joy. That’s why we decided to work with the Czech foundation Kolo pro Adama (Bike for Adam) to help one amazing young boy ride easier and further. The idea was simple: build a trike that would bring as much joy and independence as possible to a 7-year-old boy who just loves to move. Due to a rare neurological condition, moving freely isn’t always easy for him, but his energy and love for motion are unstoppable. So, we wanted to make sure nothing would hold him back. Together with the foundation, we selected the right setup, made sure it would be easy to handle. And the kid liked our company colors, so one more tricycle in the AZUB’s blue and green!
And the result? A beautiful T-Trisek for this young boy!
We made sure the ride would be smooth and effortless. There’s a Shimano EP6 motor that gives a helpful push when needed, and optional Nexus Inter 5E Di2 automatic shifting so he doesn’t have to think about gears. All he has to do is ride and enjoy. It’s already clear that he’s doing just that. We’ve heard that he’s already covered a lot of kilometers. And we’re sure there are many more to come! It warms our hearts to imagine the smiles and all the little adventures ahead. Because this is what it’s all about. The joy of doing something good, and the joy of helping someone discover the world from the recumbent seat. This wonderful project wouldn’t have been possible without the Czech foundation Kolo pro Adama, which helps children with disabilities get access to special bikes and trikes tailored to their unique needs. Thanks to generous donors and enthusiastic participants, over 70 children have already received their dream adaptive bike through this initiative.
What is Kolo pro Adama?
It’s a week-long sporting challenge that anyone can join – anywhere in the world! You can take part by cycling, running, walking, or even inline skating. All you need to do is register, pay a small entry fee (at least 100 CZK / approx. 4 EUR / 4.30 USD), and log your kilometers/miles as an individual or in a team. For every kilometer you record, partners donate money to specific fundraisers, helping real kids get real bikes.
