Transparency matters to us. Especially when it comes to pricing.

From March 10, AZUB recumbent prices in the United States will increase. The average price adjustment will be approximately 13%.

We want to clearly explain why this is necessary.

The US Dollar Has Lost Around 20%

Since spring 2025, the US dollar has lost approximately 20% of its value against European currencies.
What does that mean for a company like AZUB?

The majority of our production costs — including wages, engineering, assembly, and most operating expenses — are paid in Czech crowns or euros. While we do purchase some components in USD, most of our costs are tied to European currencies.

If the dollar loses 20%, we effectively receive 20% less after conversion to cover those European costs.

That is a major impact.

Tariffs Have Increased by About 13%

In addition to the weakened USD, US import tariffs affecting our products have increased by roughly 13%.

This means that not only do we receive fewer euros per dollar — the total cost of bringing each bike into the US market has increased as well.

The combined effect of currency decline and higher tariffs has created a situation that is no longer sustainable without adjustment.

What We Did in 2025

In spring 2025, we adjusted our pricing primarily in response to the 13% increase in US import tariffs.

At that time:

  • We increased prices by only 5%
  • We introduced a spare parts and accessory bundle worth up to $500

The bundle was designed to help offset part of the price increase for you and to soften the impact of the new tariff costs.

However, after that adjustment, the US dollar continued to decline significantly. While the 5% increase helped address the tariff situation at the time, it was not enough to compensate for the additional impact of a nearly 20% currency decline.

The combination of further USD weakening and already higher tariffs created a gap that we can no longer sustainably absorb.

What Is Changing Now

To remain sustainable and to continue offering the level of service, support, and long-term reliability you expect from AZUB, we must adjust our prices.

  • The average overall price increase is around 13%
  • The previously offered accessory and spare parts bundle program is being discontinued.

These are not steps we take lightly. But they are necessary to ensure we can continue building custom bikes with the same precision, quality, and care, and to remain fully available for service and customer support in the US market for years to come.
