We’ve written several times on our blog about the German team of Kilian Weigand and Jonas Becker, who took part in the solar bike race The Sun Trip: Destination Sahara this summer and came third. Today, you can watch the full 23-minute documentary about their participation in this challenging race and get a glimpse into their lives on their journey through Europe and North Africa. Learn about their bike, preparations, solar panels, navigation, repairs, camping, and the weather they had to battle.
We at AZUB are particularly excited to hear how well our AZUB TWIN recumbent tandem served them. We can already mention that this TWIN is returning to us in Uherský Brod and will be for sale (without solar equipment). The reason is simple. Kilian will soon embark on another journey. However, it will be solo, much longer, and much more demanding, and we are already building him the ultimate bike for it.
