Let us introduce the AZUB MAX 700 – the first of three recumbents we displayed at fairs, which we attended, most notably at SPEZI in Lauchringen, Germany, where it was showcased on our stand throughout the event.
However, this bike has another special role. It’s going to be the personal ride of Aleš, the founder of AZUB. After a few years, he decided it was time for a new bike, and his configuration is:
• AZUB MAX 700
• Above-seat steering
• SRAM 2×12 wireless shifting – quick and precise, even under load
• Suspended gravel fork from TockShox – for better control and traction
• Fox Float CTD air shock – the most comfortable rear shock we offer
• Hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano Cues – top-notch stopping power
• Carbon seat – for a lighter and sportier ride
He’s also added a few extras: black anodizing, platform pedals, a bike rack, and accessories for comfort and safety, like our headrest and the Mirrycle mirror. You could call this the ultimate road-ready recumbent setup – fast, smooth, and tailored for long rides without sacrificing comfort. It combines speed and control with the kind of support you expect from a well-designed recumbent.
And let’s not forget the color: a subtle zirconia grey. It pairs perfectly with 700c (28″, 622 mm) wheels and narrow tires for a sleek, elegant look. Want to try building your own version of the MAX 700? You can start here: AZUB Configurator
