At AZUB, our mission is to craft recumbents that not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations. This commitment is evident in this custom Ti-FLY X project!
In October 2024, we were approached by a client who envisioned a trike that was both visually striking and technologically advanced. What followed was a collaborative process that spanned six months, resulting in a unique build that falls under our “Epic Builds” category.
Choosing the right components and especially colors took many phone calls and a lot of samples that we prepared especially for our customer. He wanted to be sure that the colors would exactly match his ideas. That’s why we imported them from our special supplier in the USA, and the frame was painted by our experienced painter. Especially, the green metallic paint can change its colour depending on how the sun shines on it.
Finally, on a very special request, we also painted parts that we don’t normally paint even in our ColorShop program, and we can mention right away that the extra charge for all these finishes was several times our standard ColorShop charge. We even received the specification in graphic form, but there were still a few details that we were unable to meet. After all, we still prioritize function over looks, and if we are not sure of the adequate quality of a given component, we don’t want to mount it on our recumbents.

• Rohloff E14 electronic shifting
• Shimano Cues hydraulic disc brakes

• Dream Seat and headrest for maximum comfort

• Custom-made horn mounted under the boom
Additional equipment includes the folding hinge, grab handles, mudguards, king rack, side bag holder, and Mirrycle mirrors for rear visibility.
This build is a perfect example of our dedication to precision and customer satisfaction. The extended timeline allowed us to fine-tune every detail and ensure the final result matched our client’s unique vision.
