What exactly do you do in AZUB?
In AZUB, I am in charge of developing new models and improving the existing ones. In addition, I also arrange with our subcontractors to have parts made specifically for AZUB.

How did you come to work here?
While I was still at university, I was looking for an appropriate cycling topic for my diploma thesis that in the end resulted in an opportunity to design the first trike for AZUB. And that’s how it all started.

What made the prospect of working in AZUB attractive for you?
The diversity of work. In large companies, designers often closely specialize in a specific part of the final product. Here in AZUB, I can focus on the whole bike, from the initial concept to production and service.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
Probably working on concepts for new models.

And what do you really hate?
Dealing with complaints concerning our suppliers.

Do you remember your first encounter with a recumbent bike?
Before I began working on the tricycle for AZUB, I built an off-road trike as a school project with my classmates.

Which AZUB model do you like the best and why?
The Mini. It is a compact, nimble and playful contraption.

When you are not in AZUB, what do you do?
I try to spend a lot of time outdoors, especially in the mountains, on a bike, skis or on foot.

Which bike do you use the most?
RB Bandit 675 – a very good Enduro from a small Czech manufacturer.
