For some, the cycling season is never-ending; for others, it is only just approaching with the arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere. Along with this, we at AZUB are kicking off a series of fairs and festivals that we plan to visit. Some in our country, others abroad. The first one will be VELO Berlin in Germany (13.-14. April 2024) This cycling expo, held in the German capital, takes place in the stunning surroundings of the closed Templehof airport.
Tempelhof opened in 1923 and is best known for the airlift that supplied Berlin during World War II. Between 26 June 1948 and 30 September 1949, the airlift delivered more than 2.3 million tons of cargo, approximately 75 percent of it in American aircraft. American aircrews made more than 189,000 flights, totaling nearly 600,000 flying hours and exceeding 92 million miles.
The architecture of the airport itself is also interesting. The semi-circular structure is monumental, and you will find our stand no. OUT_A22 under a huge overhanging roof.
There will only be a short test track, but you will still be able to ride not only our trikes but for those really interested, we will also find a place to ride on our two-wheelers.
We would like to thank in advance our partners from the Hofrad shop who will help us with the whole organisation and running of the fair.
We look forward to seeing you there!
And if it’s a long way to Berlin for you, believe that we will also be at SPEZI at the end of April and at Cycle-Con in the USA in September.
