Wild ColorShop Build Based on the AZUB MAX 26
Sometimes, a bike starts telling its story long before the final assembly is complete. This particular AZUB MAX 26 is a perfect example. What first looked like a chaotic collection of colorful parts turned into a beautifully coordinated touring machine, combining a playful custom paint scheme with practical equipment for serious adventures.
From Colorful Chaos to a Perfect Match
When you walk through our assembly workshop and look at the racks filled with frames and components waiting to be built into bikes and trikes, you occasionally come across something surprising.
Sometimes you see a collection of parts in a wide range of colors and automatically assume they belong to several different customer orders.
Then you discover that every single piece belongs to one bike.
On the rack, the individual components can appear scattered and unrelated. But once the assembly begins and all the parts come together, everything suddenly makes sense. That was exactly the case with this AZUB MAX 26.
Its color scheme could certainly be described as wild. At the same time, it could just as easily be called spring-inspired, cheerful, or playful. Although several bold colors are used throughout the bike, they all share the same mood and spirit. The result is a harmonious whole that feels fresh, original, and surprisingly well balanced.
The Endless Possibilities of ColorShop
Projects like this are made possible by our ColorShop custom paint program. It allows customers to choose different colors for individual frame sections and various accessories, creating a bike that is truly unique.
Beyond a wide range of color options, riders can also choose from different finishes, including gloss, matte, metallic, and eye-catching glitter effects. The number of possible combinations is virtually endless, giving every customer the freedom to create a machine that reflects their own personality and style.
The frame itself is not the only colorful component on this bike. At the customer's request, we also produced the composite seat in yellow. However, color options for composite seats are more limited than for parts painted directly in our facility. As a result, achieving a perfectly identical shade between the seat, frame, and accessories is not always possible.
Built for Real Touring
Beyond its striking appearance, this AZUB MAX 26 stands out thanks to its touring-oriented specification.
The bike is equipped with two luggage racks, allowing it to carry a substantial amount of gear. One of the key features is the front Expedition Rack, positioned lower and closer to the center of the bike. This placement lowers the center of gravity when carrying panniers, resulting in more stable and confident handling compared to carrying all the luggage on a rear rack alone.
Comfort for Long Days in the Saddle
Comfort is provided by a RockShox 30 Gold Solo Air front suspension fork paired with a FOX Float CTD rear shock. Together, they significantly improve ride quality on long journeys and rougher surfaces.
Another advantage of the air suspension system is its easy adjustability, allowing riders to fine-tune the suspension performance according to the amount of luggage they are carrying.
Wide-Range Gearing for Any Terrain
The bike is equipped with a Shimano Deore 1×12 drivetrain featuring a single front chainring and an 11–50T cassette.
This setup provides a generous gear range, making it equally suitable for fast cruising on flat roads and for tackling climbs, even when the bike is loaded for extended touring adventures.
The Joy of Creating Something Unique
Whether your attention is drawn to its playful colors, its touring capabilities, or the comfort it offers on long-distance rides, one thing is certain: this bike is another example of how individuality and practicality can go hand in hand.
