For Carl Orr from Minneapolis, Minnesota, cycling has always been a family affair. With two sons and a wife who all love to ride, bikes are a part of everyday life. But years ago, discomfort in his wrists and neck led Carl to look for a better way to keep riding. That search brought him to recumbents — and eventually to AZUB.
In the video below, Carl talks about his experience with recumbent bikes, how he uses his AZUB SIX, and what made AZUB stand out for him. For him, comfort plays a big role, allowing him to enjoy long rides without pain while staying active with his family. Another reason he chose AZUB was the possibility to fine-tune his bike exactly to his liking. He wanted gearing that matched his previous setup and the type of terrain he rides on, and the AZUB team helped him make it happen. He also appreciated the personal support and flexibility during the ordering process, which made the whole experience enjoyable.
Carl and his family ride mostly on the beautiful trail networks of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa, often on converted rail trails that are perfect for relaxed, scenic cycling. He enjoys the maneuverability of two-wheeled recumbents, the under-seat steering, and how easy it is to transport the bikes for family trips. The AZUB SIX has become his ideal bike for these kinds of rides, offering the balance of comfort, performance, and practicality he was looking for.
After years of enjoyment on his SIX, Carl has already ordered his next AZUB — a Mini with above-seat steering — to continue his cycling adventures.
